Recast Homes

This beautiful craftsman home in Irvington had stunning bones, and Krisanna Sanders —the lead behind design+build firm Recast Homes—took that and ran with it, renovating all the finishes and adding a full primary suite upstairs. The result is a lovingly restored home with nods to its original character preserved.

While we assisted with some of the paint grade trim, the bulk of our work was in installing the continuous white oak rail that runs from the main floor up to the primary suite. Ending on a pony wall with a handful of minimal balusters, this was a good example of how even without wreathed connections, a handrail can still look elegant.
