A project that saw both remodel work and new construction of a 1,400 sqf attached addition concurrently, this completed residence was a true oasis just outside of the noise of the city. Located on Sauvie Island, designed by Holly Frixione and brought to life by Taylorsmith—the end result was a more liveable home, cosmetically unified, on a stunning property with remarkable farmland views. We were responsible for the entirety of the board and batt cedar lid,
tying new material into some portions, and running full courses of entirely new material in others. Because of the concrete floors being ground and polished, all of the existing trim had to be delicately demo’d, meticulously labeled, and put back. All the Marvin windows in the addition featured stain grade jamb extensions, glued and domino’d flush with no reveals. The outdoor shower was clad and finished by us, with copper finishes and adjustable soap shelving.
